Apple and Raspberry Crumble

2 large apples (or 3 small apples)
100 grams - frozen Raspberries
1 tbsp - water
1 For topping:
40 grams - Butter/margarine
75 grams - self raising flour
40 grams - sugar
50 grams - rolled oats or oatmeal
1 Almonds (optional)
1 And of course your favourite ice-cream or even custard (as you wish) to serve with the crumble.


Heat the oven to 180C or gas mark 5 Peel and slice the apples In a pan, place the sliced apples and the tbsp. of water with 1 tbsp. sugar. leave to simmer on medium heat, until the apples are soft. Add in the raspberries and mixed for 1 minute and take of the heat. Place the apples and raspberries in an ovenproof dish and set aside until you finish making the topping. For the topping: Rub the butter/margarine into the flour; and mix in the sugar and oats. Sprinkle on the top the fruits in the oven proof dish and press with a fork. Bake for approx. 30 mins or until golden brown. Meanwhile: if you are using almonds, you can use as much as you wish, and in a frying pan, place the almonds and toast them. Note: Be careful with the almonds and immediately get off the heat when its golden brown otherwise it will burn Finally... Serve your crumble warm and serve with ice-cream and top with almonds....
