2 lbs ground pork
1 granny smith apple, peeled cored and chopped
1 sweet onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
14 cup teriyaki sauce
8 hamburger buns, toasted
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple slices, drained
Combine pork, apple, onion, garlic, teriyaki sauce and egg. If dry, add a tablespoon or so of juice from pineapple. Form into 8 patties. Broil 5 minutes on each side. When turning, place 8 pineapple slices under broiler as well. (Alternatively, place on medium-high grill for 5 min on each side. ). Serve one pineapple slice and one burger on each toasted bun.
