Applesauce Cake

2 cups flour
12 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
12 teaspoon salt
34 teaspoon cinnamon
12 teaspoon nutmeg
14 teaspoon clove
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup applesauce
12 cup butter, soft
1 cup light brown sugar
34 cup raisins
34 cup chopped walnuts


Sift together all dry ingredients. Mix milk, vanilla and applesauce in separate bowl. Cream butter and sugar in 3rd bowl. Add eggs. Gradually add alternately wet and dry ingredients to butter. Add raisins and walnuts. Bake at 350* F in a greased, 9" cake pan. Frost when cool.
