New York System's Hot Wiener Sauce (Copycat)

12 lb ground beef
14 cup oil
14 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon celery salt
34 teaspoon cinnamon
34 teaspoon marjoram
34 teaspoon cayenne pepper
12 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
12 teaspoon thyme
18 teaspoon garlic powder
1 quart water


Brown ground beef, drain grease. Add to kettle with remaining ingredients. Simmer all for 2 hours without covering.
