Gb's Breakfast Casserole

4 eggs
3 cups 1% low-fat milk
12 slices pepperidge farm original bread
1 tablespoon margarine
1 dash salt and pepper
1 lb ground sausage
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese


Grease 9 x 13. Butter 6 pieces bread and lay face up in pan. Cover with 1/2 the cooked/crumbled sausage. Top with 1/2 cheese. Repeat layer again with bread/sausage/cheese. Mix eggs and milk and salt/pepper together. Pour on top of pan. WIth Spatula press down and soak all the bread/toppings. Bake 1 hour at 350 uncovered. Can be assembled the night before and baked the next morning.
