Poppy Seed Banana Bread Recipe

2 extra ripe bananas, peeled
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 Large eggs
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
2 c. flour
2 teaspoon baking pwdr
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 c. poppy seeds


Mash bananas. Cream sugar and butter till light and fluffy. Beat in Large eggs and lemon rind till blended. Combine flour, baking pwdr, salt and cinnamon. Alternate dry and wet ingredients. Stir in poppy seeds. Turn into well greased 9 x 5 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 min or possibly till done. Cold in pan 10 min. Turn onto wire rack and cold completely.
