Ukrainian Borscht Recipe

6 c. water
1/2 c. onion, minced
1 c. red cabbage, shredded
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
1 c. beets, shredded
1 c. carrots, shredded
1 c. stewed tomatoes
1 rib celery, sliced
1/2 c. mushrooms, sliced
1 c. kidney beans
1 clove garlic
1 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1/4 c. lemon juice


Saute/fry vegetables till tender. Add in beans, tomatoes, and seasonings. Simmer till done. Serve with a drop of lemonnaise on top.
